MOST-PLAYED & TOP-SELLING ARTIST OF '10 Taylor Swift

For the second time in three years, Taylor Swift has been named Billboard & Neilsen SoundScan’s top-selling artist of the year, with over 4.4 million albums sold in 2010, according to sales figures released this week. Taylor was also SoundScan’s top-selling artist in 2008, and her Fearless album was 2009’s biggest-selling CD.

For the second consecutive year, Taylor is Billboard’s most-played artist, topping their annual all-genre Artist Airplay chart with more than 1.128 million airplay detections in 2010.

In addition, with over 34 million tracks sold to date, Taylor remains the top selling digital artist in music history, again holding the #1 position atop Billboard’s chart of Top Selling Digital Artists.

Taylor has sold more than 4 million albums each year for three consecutive years, and is the only artist to sell 4+ million albums each of the last three years.

This week, Taylor’s latest Big Machine Records release, Speak Now, spends its fifth week at #1 on Billboard’s all-genre Top 200 Albums chart. Speak Now was 2010’s best-selling internet album.

Taylor has had one of Billboard’s ten biggest albums every year since 2007. The debut single from Speak Now, “Mine,” went to #1, and the album’s second single, “Back to December,” is currently climbing both the Country and Pop radio charts. Released in October, Speak Now sold over 1,046,000 copies the first week, for the biggest debut-week sales for an album since 2005, and the biggest debut ever for a country studio album. Every song from Speak Now has charted on the Billboard Hot 100, eleven of them at the same time. Speak Now’s commercial success is matched by its critical acclaim, winning rave reviews from the nation’s top critics, including Rolling Stone, The New York Times, and the Hollywood Reporter. Entertainment Weekly named Taylor 2010’s Entertainer of the Year.

TAYLOR ANNOUNCES SPEAK NOW WORLD TOUR 2011

Taylor Swift announced today that she will tour the world in 2011 in support of her blockbuster Speak Now album, which shattered sales records with over a million copies sold in its first week of release.

Taylor is currently slated to play 87 shows in 19 countries spanning four continents on the TAYLOR SWIFT SPEAK NOW WORLD TOUR 2011, which kicks off February 9th in Singapore.

Taylor will play shows throughout Asia and Europe during the first quarter of 2011, before kicking off her North American tour on May 27th in Omaha, Neb. SPEAK NOW Tour dates are planned for later in the year in Australia and New Zealand. The North American leg of the tour is sponsored by COVERGIRL®, and ticket prices start at $25.

The SPEAK NOW WORLD TOUR 2011 is one of the most-anticipated musical experiences of the year, as Taylor’s live show is renowned for her incredibly high-energy theatrical presentation of graphics, sets and visual elements, all conceptualized by Taylor herself. During the course of her show, Taylor plays a variety of instruments and has multiple wardrobe changes. Each show, Taylor performs hit after hit from her three Big Machine Records albums, including the chart-topping “Mine,” “Love Story,” “You Belong With Me,” “Our Song,” and “Fifteen.”

“Swift’s fans don’t just believe in her savvy songwriting and gracious, magnetic stage presence. They trust her as a peer,” raved the Los Angeles Times. “And if the unerring pleasures of her set – and the crowd’s Beatles-sized reactions – were any indication, they’ll be trusting her for a long time.” The (Phoenix) Arizona Republic wrote: “Swift shoots to superstardom. Her two-hour set at the sold-out arena showed a level of creativity – and more important, sincerity - which many other acts don’t reach for decades, if ever. There is a new master of the stage in pop music moving quickly up the ladder.”

“I’m so excited to go back out on tour again in 2011!” says Taylor. “The FEARLESS Tour was so much fun and even more unforgettable than I ever imagined, and I can’t wait to get back out and play my new music from Speak Now! The fans have been so amazing, and I’m thrilled to play in new cities around the world and meet even more of my fans in 2011!”

Taylor Swift Dating "Mine" Video Co-Star?

Taylor Swift Dating "Mine" Video Co-Star?

Has Taylor Swift's "Mine" video wedding to British actor Toby Hemingway translated to real life love?

According to the New York Post, Swift, 20, has been "gallivanting around Maine" with the blonde Hemingway, 27, who has appeared in the fright flick, The Covenant, and will star in the trippy thriller Black Swan, starring Natalie Portman.

"Insiders" predict Hemingway will escort Swift to her live CMT special tonight, officially debuting the "Mine" video, but Taylor's camp isn't letting any details slip about the possible budding romance, telling the Post: "We don't comment on Taylor's personal life."

Fans may recall that Taylor - a finalist in Celebuzz's Teen Queen Battle - has also dated dreamboats Joe Jonas and Taylor Lautner.

Do you think Taylor should date Toby Hemingway? Let her know in the comments!

Taylor Swift: Nothing is Predictable in Love

Taylor Swift: Nothing is Predictable in Love
Taylor Swift—my how she’s grown up! The singing sensation graces the cover of Parade magazine this month, and opens up about her love life, fame and being an “outsider.”

On her love life: “Things change so quickly. I have no idea who’s going to be a recurring character and who’s just a guest star for one episode. Love is fascinating. Wishing for it, pining for it, and the anger that comes when you lose it. I used to think that I could figure out some pattern to love, like if you don’t text a guy back for a half hour, he’ll like you more. But there is no pattern. Absolutely nothing is predictable in love or in life.”

On her own fame: “I don’t like to feel like I’m some fragile package that has to be shipped by high-priority mail and handled with white gloves.”

On growing up: "I still have mixed feelings about what growing up is — this thing that happens to everyone, so I've heard."

On the pain of being a teenage outsider: "If I was going through a really tough day at school and I didn't have anyone to talk to or sit with at lunch, I would say to myself over and over again, 'It's okay because I can write a song about this later.'"

On her fear that listeners won't connect with her songs: "That's definitely a nightmare that I wake up from sometimes. Saying things in songs that people will care about is my biggest hope, and saying things that nobody will care about is my biggest fear."

Is Taylor Swift asking Taylor Lautner to come back in her new song 'Back to December'

Is Taylor Swift regretting her split from former co-star boyfriend and Grand Rapids-area native Taylor Lautner? The lyrics from her latest song "Back to December" seem to imply the break up was her fault, and she took him for granted.

Most of the lyrics are about missing a loved one and apologizing, but could she also be asking him to come back?

A part of the lyrics are:

You gave me all your love and all I gave you was goodbye
So this is me swallowing my pride
Standing in front of you saying I'm sorry for that night
And I go back to December all the time
I miss your tan skin, your sweet smile, so good to me, so right
If we loved again I swear I'd love you right.
