Taylor Swift will be honoured by the Songwriters Hall of Fame where the singer will be presented with the Hal David Starlight Award.


The 20-year-old has written or co-written every track on both her 2006 self-titled debut album and 2008's Fearless, both of which went multi-platinum.

swift is the youngest CMA winner in history and has sold more than 10 million albums.


Also to receive special awards at the June 17 event are Phil Collins and Phil Ramone, while other inductees include Leonard Cohen, Johnny Mandel, and Earth, Wind & Fire's Maurice White, the Huffington Post reports.
